Monthly Loan Repayment
Tackle your student loans with UPMC’s brand new Monthly Loan Repayment incentive. Following six months of full-time employment as an RN with UPMC, Graduate Nurses are eligible¹ to receive $20,000 in loan repayment², paid over three years.
¹ Available for 2022-2024 nursing graduates. Eligible roles include full-time inpatient/procedural and surgical services RN roles for those who do not otherwise have language in their collective bargaining agreement. ² Required taxes and deductions will apply; this may be prorated depending on your employment status.
Student Loan Forgiveness and Refinancing
Navigate student loan repayment and forgiveness plan options with Savi, including Public Service Loan Forgiveness for non-profit employees, and refinance federal or private student loans at an exclusive discounted rate through UPMC’s partnership with SoFi.
Tuition Reimbursement
Advance your education at a discount, with tuition reimbursement of up to $6,000 per academic year at any accredited institution available to employees and their dependents. Additionally, explore pathways to earn your BSN or MSN degree tuition-free via UPMC’s partnership with Capella University.

GN Rotational Program (GNRP)
WHO: Students who aren't certain what suits them best, want to explore different units within a specialty or hospital, or are interested in gaining experience in various areas of care.
WHY: Under the guidance of a mentor, explore different clinical skills, patient populations, and cultures while enjoying the status of a full-time employee. At the end of the program, you'll be placed on a mutually agreed-upon unit.
Note: Offered at select hospitals.
GN Unit-Based Positions
WHO: Students who know exactly where they want to be (hospital, specialty, and unit) and/or already have experience exactly where they want to be.
